I will be contacting members in the next few weeks to help out on control during the tournament. It will probably be for 2.5 or 3 hour periods.

Thank you to Terry Brown, Bob Wines, Tessa Anderson, Dee Douglas, Janette Medforth & Martin Evans for offering to pound the pavements and deliver some pamphlets for me. I'm sure there must be some more volunteers out there. I would guess that the pamphlets should be delivered the week before the event, so that it will be still fresh in peoples minds. This is a nationwide event to promote squash and try to obtain new members.

 

I am still looking for someone to co-ordinate this each Friday night. We have juniors that want to get started and A Graders that are willing to coach, but no-one who wants to take on the responsibility of coordinating. Please call me if you can help out.

 

Thank you to our one and only person that turned up to the organized working bee. Keith Littmoden turned up and put in 2 hours on his own, fixing court tins to the wall and re-fixing the towel rail to the wall in the men's showers.

Thank you to Dave Gould, Darren Cummins, Stu Hoffman, Nigel Hughes and Taua Sikulu for hammering all the nails in on the deck, that had started to protrude. Well done guys.

 

A group of guys, namely Dave Gould, Darren Cummins, Stu Hoffman, Nigel Hughes, Bryan Wentworth, Geoff Owen, and Todd Preston, decided that because the present TV by the bar, was upsetting their vision, they required a slightly larger one to make watching it clearer. So they emptied their pockets and purchased a new one, which is now in place and looks smart, with a great picture.

The TV has been bolted to the wall in a special frame & Bolts, alarmed & will be monitored 24/7 both by cameras and the alarm company.
